At the closing segment of the Second Session of the Regional Conference on South-South Cooperation, authorities agreed that measuring cooperation among developing countries is key to enhancing their role on the global stage, increasing the efficacy of their public policies and making progress on fulfillment of the SDGs.
The intergovernmental meeting will be held May 30-31 in Santiago, Chile, and will bring together representatives of the countries of the region, the UN system and regional and international organizations.
Han Duck-soo gave a keynote lecture at ECLAC’s headquarters, during a high-level event that was inaugurated by the United Nations regional commission’s Executive Secretary, José Manuel Salazar-Xirinachs.
